I have led five technology-based companies as a full-time COO and consulted for over 20 for-profit companies as an interim CEO/COO/CFO. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science from MIT and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, I worked 5 years as a Management Consultant at PwC and Deloitte.
As a full-time COO/CFO, I have managed a variety of functions within companies, including; sales, marketing, finance, human resources, customer service, software development, and quality control. Some accomplishments include:
Developing business and marketing plans for five companies, resulting in over $35M capital raised.
Sourcing, negotiating, acquiring, and integrating new companies as part of a roll-up strategy.
Outsourcing operational functions to off-shore companies to reduce costs and improve efficiencies resulting in a 40% labor cost savings.
Nurturing the development of a sales department which accounted for 10% monthly customer growth over three years.
Interim COO/CFO Activities
- Worked as an interim CEO with an AI platform company that monitors elderly people living by themselves and provides alerts to caregivers upon determination that an action signals an issue. Helped company transition from R&D to operational/manufacturing focus.
- Working as an Interim Head of Finance at Leading-edge energy company that has recently raised over $40M in its Series B round. Brought in by COO eight months ago to develop and implement the necessary financial processes and controls, given a monthly spend increase of over 200% within one year. Handling all day-to-day financial activities including managing financial and tax audit, contract review, insurance set up, integration of payroll and financial systems data, managing outsourced accounting, board material preparation and vendor processes and payment.
- Worked with a medical device company as it pivots from R&D to customer/manufacturing focused operations. Assisting in Series B fundraise.
- Worked as an interim COO for an early-stage aquaculture company, handling all day to day financial, operational and HR activities.
- Worked with founder of a “proof of concept stage” woman’s health style app to developed integrated financial forecast with product development plan. Finalized 5-year business plan.

- Worked as the interim CFO for a profitable $20M+ service company with 100 employees and contractors in Portland, ME. Partnered with the senior team to create and implement an operational plan for 100% growth in 18 months.

Chief Operating Officer - (San Francisco, CA/New York, NY)
Medrium (www.medrium.com) provides medical software and services to healthcare providers for handling back-office activities, such as patient and insurance billing and scheduling.
Grew annual revenues to $4 million from $70,000 over a three-year period, total P&L responsibility. Created marketing initiatives resulting in increased customer base to 1800 from 120 (10% monthly growth)
Managed day-to-day operations of 80-person company. Oversaw operations of all business lines, Customer Service, Finance, Sales/Business Development, Marketing, and Human Resource departments.
Negotiated, acquired, and integrated two medical billing service companies with over 70 employees.
